As the Delaware Valley Friends School Summer Program moves into the final week of classes, take a peek at what students have been doing in the art classes that are part of the curriculum. Families and friends of participating students will be invited to an Art Show at the end of the program to see all of the work that students have created.

Middle school students have been working on ceramic masks with art teacher Katie Kent. View the slideshow at right to see what they're working on.

Upper school students in Maggie Weber's class have been creating 3D art and sculptures using recycled materials. We've shared some of their creations in the slideshow at left.

Both upper and middle school Summer Program participants enjoyed a bit of outdoor time last week when we had light breezes and temperate days - perfect weather for giant bubbles. We hope you got outside for some of that sunshine, too! See photos at right.

The week ended with tie-dye activities. Students brought in white t-shirts - a few DVFS students even used their dragon spirit wear - and Maggie and Katie facilitated some colorful fun. The items had to sit for the weekend and were unrolled and dried outdoors on Monday. See their creations in the photos at left.
