Dragon Boat

Every year, DVFS fields an intrepid team of paddlers in the International Dragon Boat Race on the Schuylkill River. The DVFS Distracted Dragons compete with dozens of teams from the greater Philadelphia area, and raise money for experiential learning (ABLE) and off-campus student travel.

We recruit more paddlers every year! Faculty and staff, parents, trustees, and friends of friends who are looking for a one-of-a-kind adventure and amazing camaraderie are invited to join us.

No paddling experience required - just a willingness to come to two to three team practices over the summer and help in our team fundraising efforts.

Email Ken Sinapius to express your interest. While you're at it, tell a friend!

Or, if paddling isn't your thing, you can still support DVFS by sponsoring the team, or your favorite paddler, with a donation. Go to this year's fundraising page >
