We are excited to be setting up Starlab® at DVFS today! Starlab is a portable, digital planetarium comprised of a lightproof dome, a projector, and teaching content. The system we are using is made possible through the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), and travels from school to school within the county, throughout the year.

On Saturday, March 10, 2018, a team of students grades 9-12 from Delaware Valley Friends School competed in the 13th Annual Greater Philadelphia SeaPerch/SeaGlide 2018 Challenge. DV students have been participating in this event since 2013. This year's event took place on the campus of Temple University, with High School teams from 25 schools from throughout the region participating in SeaPerch, and 14 school teams participating in SeaGlide. The new DVFS play and community space construction is underway, and we're sharing an updated rendering, as well as a few progress photos. The construction will be ongoing for the next few months, and we look forward to students, as well as the DV and greater communities, enjoying this wonderful new space when spring weather returns!

Delaware Valley Friends School English and music teacher Tim Simmons was recently interviewed on a radio show called "Ethereal". The program is hosted by Karla Haas Moskowitz, a faculty member in Goddard College's Graduate School of Education. Tim is in the Master's Degree program at Goddard, located in Vermont. He was recently in Vermont for a week of classes when this interview took place.

On Saturday, October 29, 2016, Delaware Valley Friends School Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Tom Lees, was presented with the Diversity Practitioners Medal of Honor by Rodney Glasgow of The Glasgow Group, LLC.

Adventure Based Learning Experiences
In March 2016, a team of students and faculty from Delaware Valley Friends will be traveling to India for eight days. This service trip offers a unique international travel experience and the opportunity to work with Nobel Laureate, Kailash Satyarthi, and his organization BBA (Bachpan Bachpao Andolan - Save the Childhood Foundation) on the issues of poverty and child labor.
