Delaware Valley Friends School welcomes Kavitha Patel to our Admissions Team as Assistant Director of Admissions and Director of Financial Aid.
Kavitha has been the Admissions Supervisor at Valley Forge Educational Services where she expanded the Admissions department to oversee several programs leading to increased enrollment. She brings with her over 20 years of experience working in approved private schools and public school systems. She is dedicated to community development and advocacy within the field of special education.
"Delaware Valley Friends is delighted to have Kavitha join our Admissions Team," said Mary Ellen Trent. "She brings valuable expertise from her work as both a social worker and as the admissions supervisor in a local school. We look forward to Kavitha continuing to develop her extensive relationships with our professional community and nurture new ones with our families."
Kirk Smothers commented, "DV is fortunate to have found such a highly experienced admissions professional, whose background includes working with families and children who experience a wide range of learning needs. She brings both a data-informed perspective to admissions and financial aid work, paired with warmth, humor and an eagerness to connect with families and colleagues." He added, "And, of course, this is made all the more powerful by the fact that she is also a DV parent, who knows firsthand the impact that our faculty and community make in the lives of our students."
Kavitha commented, "I was attracted to DV because of our shared vision that with the right supports all students have the potential to do amazing things in their lives. At DV the focus is on each student's strengths. I am excited to be at DV, an amazing school that teaches its students to embrace their learning challenges, to dream big and to know success is possible."
