Megan Fairchild's lower school Integrated Social Studies and Science class did some research around the social hierarchy in ancient Egypt. Each student chose a profession or social position and found out how that person lived and worked. They then made life-sized (well, 10 year old sized) posters outfitted with apparel appropriate to that profession or position and surrounded the images with the facts they discovered. Now, they are making audio recordings with QR codes so that their "gallery" becomes a multimedia experience! If you happen to come by, scan the QR codes to hear the 5th graders talking about their Egyptian.
