DV's newest addition to the School Counseling staff, therapy dog Lucy, is enjoying her job and has been a wonderful addition to our school community.
Lucy is getting into the swing of her counseling duties at DV. She regularly greets students as they enter the school in the morning, visits classes, attends all school Gathering and Meeting for Worship, and has been a big help to our human school counselors, Beth and Christy, in comforting students who may be anxious or having a tough day. Our students love seeing and greeting her in the hallways, and she is always happy to hang out with students during Community Time -- especially if there are belly rubs involved.
This picture of Lucy was taken after her very first haircut, and our amazing front desk receptionist Sandy Powell has made her a series of festive and holiday themed bandanas -- this one is for spring/Easter.
We are so happy to have this sweet soul as part of our DV Family!
