ABLE Ski Touring 2018

Day 3

Our third day on the cross country ski touring trails has come to a close. Student Jack F. shared this update:

"Day three, everyone greatly Improved their skiing skills. Most people learned the herringbone technique. After four hours out in the cold weather, everyone returned home to the warm lodge and ate a spaghetti dinner."

ABLE Director Ken Sinapius added that there were a lot of people enjoying the outdoors today. The DV skiers saw a college group from Cornell, and many families and locals were all skiing at Tug Hill today. We still got in a full day as we skied until 4:30 PM

Ski Lesson #4 today focused on these skills:

    • Review turning
    • Work on speed control techniques

The slideshow has been updated to include some photos from Day 3, so be sure to watch/scroll all the way through!
