ABLE Ski Touring 2018

Day one

The ABLE Ski Touring group arrived safely at their destination in NY today.

Student David Lee was in charge of the Day 1 update, and he shared this:

"The drive up went well and we found lots of snow. We were able to practice skiing for over an hour, and we did well at it!"

ABLE Director, Ken Sinapius, gave a quick run-down of the skills the group would be learning on Day 1, so once the group got their skis and poles, the first basic - and probably most important - essentials to practice were:

      1. falling
      2. getting up

They ended the day with a nice dinner together at their lodge, and lights out at 11pm. More updates from the Tug Hill Ski Area trails on Friday!

Here is the ABLE Ski Touring 2018 slideshow. We'll be adding to it every day! Check back on Friday, and over the President's Day weekend for updates!
