Lower School Schedule 2017-18

What does a typical day in the Lower School at Delaware Valley Friends look like?

The lower school school schedule is designed to provide significant instructional time in areas that are critical to setting the foundation for future academic success.

Skill remediation and development in the areas of language arts, math and reading comprise the majority of a students' morning.

There is time allotted for a robust specials program that will include art, music, technology and PE. Students also receive instruction in social studies and science throughout the year.

In addition, the schedule allows for dedicated daily instruction in character development and age appropriate social emotional learning.

By helping students to gain a better understanding of themselves as learners and inspiring them to take ownership of their learning, DVFS propels its students to succeed beyond their own expectations. DVFS teachers are highly committed to the academic, social, and emotional welfare of each student as they go through these formative years.
