Delaware Valley Friends School Announces Christine Zawadzkas as New Assistant Lower School Director/Lower and Middle School Counselor
Delaware Valley Friends School is pleased to welcome Christy Zawadzkas as the new Assistant Lower School Director/Lower School and Middle School Counselor.
Christy has over 15 years of school counseling experience and joins us most recently from the Montgomery School where she served as their School Counselor. While at Montgomery School, Christy was the coordinator of the Middle School Service Learning Program and developed and coordinated their Multi-Tiered Support Team, which provides a collaborative approach to supporting students’ academic and social needs. Christy has extensive experience in developing and implementing guidance education programs that promote character education for students at both the elementary and middle school levels.
Christy holds a Masters of Counseling Psychology degree from the College of St. Elizabeth and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a Certified School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor.
“Christy is a passionate educator who has both a collaborative and innovative mindset,” commented DVFS Lower and Middle School Director Jason Seggern. “I look forward to working with her and the entire lower and middle school faculty as we continue to build our younger divisions and fulfill our mission as a national leader in serving students with learning differences.”

Ms Zawadzkas will start at Delaware Valley Friends at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year coinciding with the opening of the school’s new Lower School division.
