Our New Play and Community Space is Open!

Drumroll… “Five – four – three – two – one – go!” The entire school counted down to the opening of the new play and community space on Monday, April 30, 2018.

DV's two student government Co-clerks, Michael Hall and John Coleman, cut the ceremonial red ribbon to opening the way for the Lower School grades to run up the hill, becoming the first students to play on the new equipment.

STARLAB® Brings the Night Sky to DVFS

We are excited to be setting up Starlab® at DVFS today! Starlab is a portable, digital planetarium comprised of a lightproof dome, a projector, and teaching content. The system we are using is made possible through the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), and travels from school to school within the county, throughout the year.

DVFS Completes its Third Original Musical Production

Delaware Valley Friends School's Romeo & Juliet Remix delighted audiences of parents, faculty, students, and friends during its run on March 15, 16 and 17, 2018. This was the culmination of a 7-month project that began in September with a team of student writers who took Shakespeare's original story and reworked it for modern times – re-imagining the characters, re-writing the script, and creating original songs.

Delaware Valley Friends School SeaPerch/SeaGlide Team Brings Home Four Trophies

On Saturday, March 10, 2018, a team of students grades 9-12 from Delaware Valley Friends School competed in the 13th Annual Greater Philadelphia SeaPerch/SeaGlide 2018 Challenge. DV students have been participating in this event since 2013. S.A.F.E. Query: How To Be A Better ALLY

Quakers use the term Query to refer to a question or series of questions used for reflection and in spiritual exercises. Friends have used Queries as tools for offering spiritual challenges to the community for much of their history, often taking the form of a collection of themed questions that are read at the beginning of a time of gathering. A Query is an opportunity for deep reflection and sharing, for learning, and for building community.
