Service Learning Blog

Serving others is a central tenet to Quaker philosophy and a key component of a Delaware Valley Friends education. Our service learning program provides opportunities for students to reach out – both within our own community and particularly beyond our walls – to help others in need.

This blog is a place where we will share some of our work serving others, whether in our local community or through wider outreach and travel opportunities.

India Day 3

Dancing Holes in Socks

As I type, the students are on the field playing soccer and cricket with the boys of Bal Ashram. I can say with great confidence that we should stick with soccer at DV and never create a cricket team. Free time play is a great way for the students to have time to process our …
