From the moment you arrive at Delaware Valley Friends, you know you are welcome here.
Delaware Valley Friends is a school founded upon Quaker beliefs, and welcoming to families of all beliefs. Quakers have always honored diversity – from differences in ethnicity and economics to differences in the ways we each learn.
The students, faculty, and staff form a close-knit community where mutual respect and caring for one another form the basis for every day interactions. Students’ opinions matter at Delaware Valley Friends and they are encouraged to take leadership roles within our community.
The warm, supportive environment is a critical component of the educational approach at DVFS. Students with learning disabilities or differences often come to us with some emotional baggage – having experienced academic failure and teasing in other environments. At Delaware Valley Friends, we help them rebuild their self-esteem, reintroduce them to academic success, and welcome them into a new community of friends where they can grow into mature, well-rounded young adults.
