When we receive all materials listed above,
the application is considered complete. The Admissions Office will
coordinate its careful review by our Applications Committee.
Your Visits
If the Applications Committee believes your student will
benefit from our program, s/he will be invited to spend a day at DVFS. During this full day visit prospective
students attend classes and activities with a DVFS student in their grade and are
our guest for lunch. The prospective DVFS
student will also meet with an Admissions officer and possibly
Administrators.
A parent interview with Mary Ellen Trent, Director of
Admissions, is required.
Our Decision
All faculty and administrators who have met the prospective
student during their visit will submit a written evaluation. The Admissions Committee then reviews the
completed file and makes the final decision regarding enrollments.
Applicants will be notified in writing and by telephone of the final
enrollment decision.
DVFS Placement Testing
While we consider all the testing you have submitted in your
application, prospective students may be asked to complete some testing during
their full day visit. If this is not the
case, we may require accepted students to complete testing for placement
purposes prior to starting at DVFS.
Testing may be administered in the following areas: decoding, reading
comprehension, reading fluency, spelling, vocabulary, writing, and math.
Financial Aid
Financial Aid is available from Delaware Valley Friends
School based on need. Delaware Valley
Friends School does not grant academic or athletic scholarships. Please refer to the Financial Aid section of the website to learn about applying for aid.
